Dependencies

MethLab depends on:

•  Python (2.4 or newer)
•  pysqlite (2.x or 3.x)
•  PyGTK (2.8 or newer, 2.10 recommended)

Note: Python 2.5 comes bundled with pysqlite 3.0. You will still need the sqlite3 library though.

The filesystem backend depends on:

• a supported tagging library:
  • TagPy (0.91 or newer recommended)
  • Mutagen
• a supported music player:
  •  XMMS (depends on  PyXMMS or  python-ctypes)
  •  XMMS2 (depends on python-xmmsclient, which is part of XMMS2)
  •  Beep Media Player (depends on  python-ctypes)
  •  Audacious (depends on  python-ctypes)

Note: Python 2.5 comes bundled with python-ctypes.

 MPD (music player daemon) support depends on:

•  MPD running on localhost:6600 with no password.
